About this app

The-V is a movies dictionary app built on top of the public TMDB™ API. All publicly available movie data displayed in the app — including posters, cast and crew information, trailers, and related metadata — is sourced from TMDB and used in accordance with their public usage terms.

02

Your account

When you sign up, your account information is stored on our own database — not on TMDB. Your account is used solely to keep track of the movies you've watched and the ones you want to watch later, so the app can build personalized recommendations for you.

03

What we do not collect

We take a deliberately minimal approach to data. The-V does not collect:

  • Any private or sensitive personal information beyond what's needed to operate your account
  • GPS coordinates or location data of any kind
  • Device identifiers used for tracking across other apps or services
04

How your data is used

The limited data we do store — your watch list, watched titles, and basic account details — is used only to power features inside The-V, primarily to generate recommendations tailored to your taste. That's it.

05

No third-party sharing

Your data is not shared with any third party and is not used for advertising purposes of any kind. We don't sell, rent, or trade information about our users to outside companies.

Changes to this policy

If anything in this policy changes, we'll update this page and revise the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after such changes means you accept the updated terms.
